Alexander Bublik reaches quarterfinals of Swiss tournament

Alexander Bublik played his first match at the tournament in Gstaad. His opponent was fellow countryman Alexander Shevchenko. Kazakhstan’s top tennis player claimed a comfortable win in the Kazakh derby, reports jay.kz.

 

Bublik beat Shevchenko in straight sets. He won the first set 6–2 and gave away only three games in the second. During the match, the Kazakh served five aces, but also allowed the same number of break points. In the quarterfinals, Alexander will face Argentine Francisco Comesaña.
