Renowned fighter won’t attend major event
The Alash Pride grappling tournament has once again lost its headliner. Former UFC champion Aljamain Sterling has canceled his scheduled bout in Kazakhstan, reports jay.kz.
The American fighter was set to face Yerzhan Yestanov on July 25, but the bout will no longer take place. Sterling changed his plans but promised on Sportpluse’s Instagram page to visit Kazakhstan in September. This isn’t the first time he has pulled out of the Alash Pride event: in May, Sterling was also unable to compete and was replaced by Henry Cejudo.
