Rematch Date Set for Magomed Ankalaev vs. Alex Pereira

UFC has officially announced the first challenger for its new champion, Magomed Ankalaev, and it will be Alex Pereira once again. Manager Rizvan Magomedov confirmed the fight date, reports jay.kz.

 

Rumors of an immediate rematch between Ankalaev and Pereira have been circulating since their first bout, and now confirmation is coming. Signals from Ankalaev pointed to a fight in Abu Dhabi, and manager Magomedov told Match TV in an interview that his fighter is preparing for the next fight in October. The showdown is expected on the 25th. Pereira — known as “Poatan” — will step into the Octagon one more time.
