KFF takes tough action
The match between Turan and Kyzylzhar was not without controversy. Fans pointed out a major refereeing error, and the episode did not go unnoticed by the Kazakhstan Football Federation, reports jay.kz.
A dispute broke out over a penalty in the 84th minute. The KFF Refereeing Department acknowledged the decision was incorrect and noted a lack of proper communication among the officials. The federation has suspended two referees — Timur Kumashov and Georgiy Chekhovskiy — until the end of the season. Both had already been under suspicion of involvement in match-fixing, reports KFF.kz.
