Elena Rybakina confidently advances to the WTA 500 quarterfinals in the USA

Kazakhstan’s top tennis player, Elena Rybakina, played her opening singles match at the WTA 500 tournament in Washington. The Kazakh star cruised into the quarterfinals without much trouble, reports jay.kz.

The country’s No. 1 faced 18-year-old Victoria Mboko on court. Rybakina was composed on serve, controlled the rallies, and read her opponent’s game with ease. She secured a solid straight-sets win, 6-3, 7-5. In the quarterfinals, Elena will face the winner of the match between Venus Williams and Magdalena Frech.
