Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) is an international hockey league established in February 2008 for clubs from Russia and other countries of Europe and Asia. The organizer of the KHL regular championship, which plays the Continental Cup, and the playoff stage, where 16 teams compete for the Gagarin Cup.
